It
was in 1972, that Agricoper started to export table-grapes into the
most important European markets. Afterwards Mr Gianni Liturri, founder
and current administrator of the AGRICOPER DI GIANNI LITURRI SRL,
devoted wholly to the steady quality improvement of the traded table-grapes.
Gianni Liturri is firmly persuaded that in order to be an appreciated
exporter of table-grapes, it is first necessary to be an excellent
farmer. This has ever been our mission.

Actually from its beginning on more than 50% of the traded goods come
from the family farm, run by Mr. Gianni in collaboration with his
sons.
In 1980s the introduction of tunnel "Regina dei Vigneti"grapes,
a variety of grapes ripening 5 weeks earlier than open-field growing
(from 20th to 30th June) has represented an important turningpoint
in our activity. It has been a significant commercial and a productive
success, which has been representing the basis for a further development
and improvement that every season can be proposed as a KSF to our
customers.
In
order to match at best the incresing demand, in 1990 was built the
modern warehouse, where are located also the company's head office.
It is located on a surface of 10.000 squared meters (1.400 of which
covered) only 20 minuts far away from railway A14 (Bari Nord). It
is equipped with modern cooling-rooms, which allow to refrigerate
and conserve goods coming already packed from the vineyards up to
120 ton..The so arranged modern layout of plant enables to meet peack
requires up to 140 ton daily.
From
1990, the availability of this new plant has enhanced the development
of the company, which has in this way improved its service to the
big distribution in France, Germany, Great Britain, Austria, Belgium,
Netherland, Swiss.
In this way on the one hand the annual sold production of table grapes
has increased from 1.500 to 4.500 ton, and on the other it has been
possible to extent our season from July, with early tunnel "Regina
Grapes", till December, that means out of season, with tunnel
Italia grapes.
